SmartMove
SmartMove is a small application
which lets you move and rename folders which contains installed
programs. SmartMove makes all necessary changes in order for the
programs in the moved or renamed folder to run exactly as they did
before the operation. SmartMove changes the registry, shortcuts and
ini files, DOS startup files etc. If you want to undo a
previous operation, SmartMove can do that too.

SmartMove searches the following system components to find out what changes have to be made to the system:
- The Registry
autoexec.batconfig.sysmsdos.sys.inifiles in the Windows folder- Desktop shortcuts
- Start Menu shortcuts
- Recent shortcuts
- Send To shortcuts
- Internet Explorer 4+ QuickLaunch shortcuts
- Files in the folder or drive that will be moved or renamed
- Files in any other folder
System requirements
Any computer running Windows 95 or Windows 98. SmartMove hasn't been tested with Windows Me/NT/2000/XP.
If you have an earlier version of SmartMove installed then uninstall it before you install the new version. If you've registered the product and have a registration key, then be sure to remember it since you will have to type it again when running the new version.
